2009 Walsh Ironman Preview

by Mark Robertson on December 9, 2009

The young and shorthanded Blue Demons will head to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to participate in what is considered the toughest tourney in the country, the Walsh Ironman.

Nine Blue Demons will take the mat with six receiving seeds.  Devin Carter will be second seeded at 125.  Joey Dance will be the number 6 seed at 112.  Brady Epperly will be seeded 13th at 140, James Linkous is 11th at 145, Tyler Miles holds down the number 14 seed at 160 and Jessie Redford is 15th at 119.  Zach Epperly will be at 135, Logan Bosley will be at 130 and Rich Eva is at 152.

The action can be followed a couple of ways this week…

The Christiansburg Blue Demon Wrestling Club will be sponsoring the broadcast of the matches.  The action should start at 11am est.  Follow this link to the Broadcast page  Blue Demon Broadcasts.  This year for the first time we will have video for our matches.  So as to not infringe on the Walsh Ironman’s broadcast, I will only have video of the Blue Demon matches.  The video is just a webcam,  so I can not speak to how the quality will be but hopefully you will enjoy it.  The Ironman is in a very cramped gym and it may be difficult to see much.

The Chat function will be working.  I will be monitoring, so be warned…no profanity, no personal attacks and nothing out of hand will be tolerated.

The Walsh Ironman has a new site this year and will also have video.  Check there for more details.
