Virginia Elite Youth Camp ran from July 12-15 and was a huge success.  Not many youth camps can say that they had the likes of

  • Jeff Stanley – Virginia Elite Head Youth Coach & 2x State Champion
  • Kevin Humbert – Virginia Elite Coach & State Champion
  • Brian West – CHS State Champion
  • Joey Dance – State Champion
  • Gabe Lumpp – State Qualifier
  • Jacob Bonds – Christiansburg HS Wrestler
  • Zack Epperly – State Champion
  • Daryl Weber – CHS Head Wrestling Coach & NCAA Champion for Iowa
  • Tony Robie – VT Head Assistant Coach and NCAA Runner up for Edinboro Univ.
  • As well as many more current and former CHS wrestlers….

Wrestlers need to bring $75.00 for the event (make checks payable to VAWA) and meal money.  Club will have food at tournament, but wrestlers will need to have money for meals outside tournament.

Cadets will be picked up at school at 12:30 and will leave directly after.
Cadet Greco Wrestling 7:00 p.m.
Saturday May 8th
Schoolboy and below will leave with Coach Elswick from the Hall at 6:45 a.m.
Cadet Freestyle and Kids Greco Wrestling begins 10:00 a.m.
Kids Freestyle Wrestling begins 1:00 p.m.

Logan Bosley Places 4th at Fila National Cadets

A hand full of Blue Demons made the trek to Akron, Ohio last weekend to compete in the 2010 Fila Nationals.  Logan Bosley came away with a 4th place finish in the Greco division.
